A while back I wrote about why I wanted to build a reading app around accountability instead of catalogs and stats. It started as an idea I couldn't find anywhere, so I started building it myself.
It took longer than I expected. Most of that time went into the part that actually matters: making your reading progress feel shared without turning it into another feed to perform for.
Today it's live. The app is called ReadCircle.
What It Does
You log your reading, and the small group of people in your circle see it. That's it. No followers, no streaks, no public profiles, no scores. Just the quiet awareness that someone you know opened their book today.
That single thing: visibility between people who already matter to each other, was the whole bet. Now it's something you can actually try.
Try It
If you've been meaning to read more and willpower alone hasn't cut it, give it a shot with a few friends.
